Apollo FlashDevelop Template

[Update April 17, 2007]
For those of you who grabbed the latest update, the changes I made to the 'build.properties' file didn't get included somehow.

CODE:
  1. flexsrc.dir=frameworks/source
  2. apollosrc.dir=frameworks/source
  3. apollolib.dir=frameworks/libs/apollo

You will need to either add the above code to the 'build.properties' file or re-download the template below. Sorry about this.

[Update April 14, 2007]
A few major updates have been made to the template and are reflected in the download below. Information about these changes can be found here.

[Update March 28, 2007]
I posted a tutorial to go along with this template that explains the setup of FlashDevelop and ANT, as well as configuring this template.
[/Update]

If you are a FlashDevelop user who is interested in authoring Apollo applications, here is something very useful for you. The project is setup for ANT-based compiling and you can easily toggle a property to switch between testing and publishing your final AIR file. Upon packaging the AIR file, project documentation is automatically generated for you into the 'docs' folder using ASDoc. There is also a library FLA and SWF file ready to go in the 'ui' folder for you to place library items and then embed them into your application during compile.

What you will need to use this template:

To install:

Unzip and place the '07 Apollo Project' folder into the 'Data\ProjectTemplates' directory in your FlashDevelop application folder.

    NOTE:
Make sure you update your installation paths in the template's build properties file before using the template.

Hopefully some of you will find this template useful. If you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback, certainly let me know.

Sorry i am (more or less) new to FD and don't get it, how to make it running.

I placed the ‘07 Apollo Project’ folder, and can use it, but where i have to (place or) give FD the paths to ANT and to the Apollo SDK.

I do not get it now...:(
*in german you would say:"Ein Brett vorm Kopf"*

    Thanks,
    Johannes

    Johannes,

I'll post a tutorial on how to get up and running with all of this stuff sometime in the near future.

When i compile my Apollo-App, everything works but the given Source-App isn't build. So i add something manually, and it works. But there is one error:

[exec] command line: Error: configuration variable 'compiler.source-path' value contains unknown token 'flexsrc.dir'

Wow. For whatever reason, my updated 'build.properties' file didn't make it in the updated download. Here is what was missing:

    CODE:
    1. flexsrc.dir=frameworks/source
    2. apollosrc.dir=frameworks/source
    3. apollolib.dir=frameworks/libs/apollo

Really sorry about this. I updated the download with this change as well. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Boris.

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for the nice template!
I took the liberty to adapt it to also work on Mac OS X in Eclipse, with the option to compile from AS3 or MXML and some more extras.

    Check it out at http://www.svendens.be/2007/05/build-and-compile-as3-flex2-and-apollo.html

    Kind regards,
    Sven Dens

    Sven,

Thanks for the kind words. That's cool that you went ahead and made a template for Eclipse. I've been holding out on AS3 development in Eclipse (for the most part) until FDT 3.0 is released, but it's nice to have something readily available for development under OS X. Nice work!

[...] This can already be done in FlashDevelop - a great editor, but it only runs on Windows - but I couldn’t yet find a source telling me how to do it from Eclipse or any other editor that runs on OS X.
